Body level hearing aid

A body level (or body worn) hearing aid has a microphone, battery and processor that is worn in a pocket or on the shirt. The device is connected to an ear piece by a wire.

Bone anchored hearing device

Also known as a BAHD or BAHA, this hearing aid is attached to a post that extends through the skin behind the ear. The post is inserted in a surgical procedure.
